Preparing for Foyer Walfer Vollekslaf 2027?
Most probable date, pending the organiser's announcement. The countdown is indicative; the training calendar is offered once the date is confirmed.
Race day is Sun 3 Oct 2027, in 337 days. Counted back from that date, a two-week taper would start on Mon 20 Sep 2027; the planner lays out base, build and peak from the day you set it. The taper is the one phase with a meta-analysed optimum: about two weeks, training volume cut by 41 to 60 percent, intensity and frequency kept (Bosquet et al. 2007). A standard structure, not a training plan and not medical advice.

About the event (2027 edition)
The 2027 Foyer Walfer Vollekslaf is expected on Sunday 3 October 2027, a date estimated from previous editions (held on the first Sunday of October in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, the slot the organiser itself calls traditional); the organiser has not announced it yet. Organised by the Vollekslaf Walfer asbl, this popular road race in Walferdange goes back to 1975. In 2026, for its 50th edition, the programme included a 1 km Mini-Laf for children, a 5.4 km junior and jogging race and a 12.5 km main race. This page will be updated as soon as the official date is published.
