Privacy & legal notice

Last updated: October 2026.

Who is responsible

This site (sitraka.lu) is published personally by Sitraka Forler, in Luxembourg. Contact: sitrakaforler@gmail.com. Hosting: Vercel Inc. (deployed to European Union regions). The data you entrust to the site (newsletter, accounts, event submissions) stays in the EU. One optional feature calls a service outside the EU; it is described below.

What data, and why

  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email is stored at Brevo (EU-hosted) after a double opt-in (you confirm via a link). Purpose: sending you the weekly events digest. Legal basis: your consent. One-click unsubscribe in every email.
  • Christian Daily: the app works without an account(everything stays in your browser). If you sign in (Google/GitHub via Supabase, EU-hosted project), we store your first name and your daily check-ins to sync across your devices. Only you can read them (row-level security). Legal basis: your consent.
  • Fat Loss Tracker (/checklists/fat-loss/): your meals, weight, body-fat readings, tape measurements, sleep and profile are health data. By default they stay in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage) and are never sent to Sitraka Forler. The answers to the health questions (pregnancy, breastfeeding, eating disorder, kidney disease, medicines) never leave the browser. Nothing you enter is sent, and the tool records no event; the tracker screen is not counted by the audience measurement, the presentation page is (see Analytics).
  • Work (job-search workspace, /checklists/work/): your profile, postings, applications and notes stay in your browser (IndexedDB). The workspace works without an account or sign-in, and none of your job-search data is uploaded. Until 17 October 2026 it asked you to sign in with Google or GitHub through Supabase (the same EU-hosted project as Daily): accounts created then hold only the identity your provider returned (email, name, avatar) and are deleted on request at sitrakaforler@gmail.com.
  • Random verse (Christian Daily, "New verse" button): when you click it, your browser requests a verse from bible-api.com, a third-party service hosted in the United States, which therefore receives your IP address, your browser's user agent and the origin sitraka.lu. No cookie, nothing else is sent; if the service is unreachable the app falls back to a local list.
  • Event submissions: if you propose an event via /submit, your name and email (both optional) are stored with the submission at Supabase (EU-hosted), only to review the event and follow up if needed. Never published, never used for prospecting; deleted on request at sitrakaforler@gmail.com.
  • Analytics: Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (page views and performance metrics), aggregated and cookie-free: no individual profile, no advertising tracker. Speed Insights also measures page performance (route, browser, device type, country). The Fat Loss Tracker screen and the sign-in return parameters are excluded from both.
  • The site's own click counter (update of 31 October 2026): the site itself counts some clicks (calendar subscriptions, links to organizers, pins, filters, tools opened, newsletter sign-ups…) and arrivals from another site. Each one adds 1 to a daily total, broken down by event type, page language, page path and a short target (for example the identifier of the event page, the tool or the link placement); for an arrival, only the name of the referring site, not the address of its page. Nothing else: no cookie, no identifier, no IP address, nothing you type, and two clicks cannot be linked to each other or to a person. The totals are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare, Inc., primary copy requested in Western Europe); your IP address reaches Cloudflare, which hosts the site from November 2026, as with any web request, but the counter does not record it. The Fat Loss Tracker screen sends nothing, and loading the agenda widget on another site does not count as an arrival. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights stop when the site leaves Vercel (planned for November 2026); the counter starts at the same time and only runs on the site served by Cloudflare.
  • Local tools (offline Daily, Checklists, agenda pins, the "one honest line" journal), stored in your browser's localStorage: what you type there is never sent to a server. Only anonymous usage counters are emitted (page view, filter used, item pinned, check-in done, link clicked), never the content you type.

How long

Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe. Daily accounts (and Work accounts created before 17 October 2026): until you ask for deletion. Analytics: aggregated, no individual data retained.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification or erasure of your data, or object to its processing, email sitrakaforler@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with Luxembourg's data protection authority, the CNPD.

Quizzes of the Data Analytics for Business course

The end-of-session quizzes of the course taught at the Université Catholique de Lille (sitraka.lu/teaching/data-analytics/) require signing in with a Google account; Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy. Signing in creates an account on this site with your name, e-mail address and profile picture as Google sends them. For each quiz we keep your answers, your score and the start and end times. Purpose: the course participation grade, and nothing else; only that grade, as part of your course mark, goes to the university. Only the instructor can see your answers and scores; Supabase hosts them in the European Union as a processor. While you take a quiz, your answers in progress are also kept in your browser, so that a reload does not lose them. Everything is deleted by 31 March 2027 at the latest, once grades are final, including the sign-in account if you use no other feature of the site. Without a Google account, or if you prefer not to use one, you take the same quiz on paper, with the same weight. The controller and the legal basis are being confirmed with the university's data protection officer. To access your data or have it deleted sooner: sitrakaforler@gmail.com. Openings of the course decks are also counted, per day and per deck, with a plain counter: no account, no IP address, no cookie.

Personal notes on the course slides

On the course slides (sitraka.lu/teaching/) you can write a note under each slide. Without an account, these notes stay in your browser's storage and are sent nowhere. If you choose to sign in with a Google account, they are also saved on that account so you can find them on your other devices: we then keep your name, e-mail address and profile picture as Google sends them, and for each note the course, the slide number, the text and the time of the last change. Only you can read them; the instructor cannot. Supabase hosts them in the European Union as a processor. Legal basis: your consent, given by signing in, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting your notes from the slides and signing out. Notes are deleted by 31 March following the end of the course at the latest, together with the sign-in account if you use no other feature of the site. The session code is still required to open the slides, with or without an account. To access your data or have it deleted sooner: sitrakaforler@gmail.com.

Feedback questionnaire before the PDF of a public deck

The public slides of the lecture "EU strategy for data, in production" (sitraka.lu/teaching/eu-data-strategy/) can be read freely. To download the PDF, you sign in with a Google account and answer a short questionnaire: your background (student, lawyer, engineer, manager, public sector, other), a usefulness score from 1 to 5, and optionally the most useful part, what to improve, and whether you agree to be contacted. We keep these answers, the language of the deck, the time, your account identifier and, only if you agree to be contacted, your e-mail address. Purpose: improving the lecture and, with your agreement, contacting you about it. Only the lecturer reads the answers; Supabase hosts them in the European Union as a processor. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Answers are deleted by 31 October 2027 at the latest. To access, correct or have them deleted sooner: sitrakaforler@gmail.com.

Start-of-course questionnaire of the Machine Learning course (Centrale Méditerranée)

The groups and subjects questionnaire (sitraka.lu/teaching/machine-learning/groupes/) asks for your first name, last name, the group you would like to form, a score from 1 to 3 per subject, and optionally your e-mail address and a comment. It is sent with the code of the introduction session, without an account. Purpose: forming the project teams of three and choosing the examples of the course. Only the instructor reads the answers; Supabase hosts them in the European Union as a processor. Nothing is passed to the school beyond the team composition. Answers are deleted by 31 March 2027 at the latest. To access, correct or have them deleted sooner: sitrakaforler@gmail.com.

Cookies

The site sets no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker. Signing in to Daily uses technical storage strictly necessary for the session. The Fat Loss Tracker keeps your data in your browser's storage, which is strictly necessary for the tool you use.
