my take
Skip Place d'Armes on the first weekend: the Constitution market, if it returns this year, has the better view over the valley with a Glühwäin. Weeknights before 18:00 are the calm window.
about the event
Winterlights is Luxembourg City's end-of-year festival, announced by the Ville de Luxembourg for 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Hours: Sunday to Thursday 11:00-21:00, Friday and Saturday 11:00-22:00; closed on 25 December; 11:00-18:00 on 24 and 31 December. The Winterkids Village on Place Guillaume II opens from 19 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
